Life is too short and it feels like it’s been too long since I blogged. And the train of thoughts has been running at bullet speed, I pen this poem, inspired ย by one ofย Richa’s old posts.
Life is too short to not eat the ice cream,
and not chase your dream.
Life is too short to not invest on memories,
and run behind treasury for centuries.
Life is too short to not wear the dress you love,
and not think of soaring high above.
Life is too short to hold on to toxic people,
and love just one season!
Life is too short to not have “me” time,
and assuming to be a crime.
Life is too short to follow the norms of the society,
and not sip the tea peacefully and quietly.
Life is too short to be stuck in a job you don’t like,
and wait for the right time to strike.
Life is too short not to give a warm long hug,
to those who don’t shrug.
Life is short. Like me.
We are the unstoppable calmness and chaos in the sea.
Lovely lines and what a pleasant blog.
Yes, life is so precious and beautiful and we overlook the tiny magical moments and remain tangled in self created web. Every moment is a gift and every experience is nothing but a nicely crafted poem. That depends how we interpret and accept it.
Do keep writing and keep reminding us small miracles of this journey.
Regards, Amit (ainmane.blogspot.in)
So true, Amit. We are all so entangled in our own webs that we often fail to live in the process of making a living.

OK I was laughing sooo hard at your post–just because I can totally relate. I love the quote "What's Claire's is Claire's and what's mine is Claires". Maddi one day took my brush, straightener, and makeup–needless to say I didn't take a picture of myself. Let me know if you get any great advice. In the meantime–hide away. Oh–I thought that the picture was ADORABLE
The “best”? Spending more money than other users does not make you the best at anything. For the record, there are 40- and 60-box players out there who could walk all over your generic shamans.
F*ckin’ awesome issues here. I’m very satisfied to peer your article. Thanks a lot and i am taking a look forward to touch you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?
Love the words Ramya and all of it so so true and hit home perfectly with me. I have been trying to get some “toxic love” out of my life since ages- this poem made me realise how important it is that I should let go of it for my own good.
Toxic people complicate your already complicated life. So it is wise to recognize and weed them out. As painful as it maybe, it’s for a better future. ๐
I am glad the poem could make you realize things that can do good.
Thank you so much for dropping by and appreciating. ๐

The depth and simplicity of this verse appealed to me, Ramya. Life is too short, isn’t it? To hold grudges and to hold back from hugs. Live every moment ๐

Lovely poem, Ramya! I liked the last line: “We are the unstoppable calmness and the chaos of the sea!”
I need to tell you one more thing. A few days back you posted your blogging goals on Facebook, isn’t it? I read those and was inspired to set similar goals for myself, and it felt good. A sense of achievement, after a long time! Thank you for it all, Ramya! <3
Dear Shilpa,
The reason for replying to all the comments on the post is this comment. I haven’t replied to comments in ages now because 24 hours a day it seems is very less.
I am so glad you loved those lines. They are my favorite too ๐
And it makes me so happy and contented that you I could make you feel good. Thank you for being you, Shilpa. <3
